The duo Fusion Moderne consists of Harry Sparnaay - bass clarinet and Polo de Haas - piano. In 1972 the
Gaudeamus Duo prize was awarded to Fusion Moderne during the International
Gaudeamus Performers
Competition.
In 1971 they founded Fusion Moderne which is widely known in Europe and the United
States. Many works
were written for them by composers such as Anestis
Logothetis, Lucien Goethals, Vaclac Kucera, Jos Kunst,
Joep Straesser, Ton
Bruynèl, Theo Loevendie and others.
